There is a big difference between peace, joy, mayhem, and war.

Although I prefer joy, mayhem is her equalizer. “To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction.” -Newton

Once I sat in joyful silence

pondering the light of day

and in my glee I spied my neighbor

Her brow of sweat and blouse a fray.

I chanced a glance and saw her bosom

and then in shame I turned away.

All is well I hope and dread.

My countenance a chagrin red.

Within my blunder I failed to notice

her spouse at home in his off day.

The jealous husband at my door

what once was joy is now dismay.

Now I sit upon a bed

and all my bones beside me lay.

T’is the story of my fault

and chance again I’ll turn away.

Although my poem does not reflect my personal life, it is rather fitting.

Enjoy,

  • Thanks Andy.

  • The transition starting at 1:39 with the horns, and building to 2:01 is something really special. It is unsettling but still engaging, then it gets smoothed out with an excellent resolution. This track is unique and left me wanting to relisten, so I did.
