first impression, love that 8 bit sound. It's thick and solid and carries the first few measures of the track. Then at
00:14
that other sound comes in, and it's not EQ'd properly, and it immediately takes away from the intro sound, and the intro sound keeps going, which takes away from the new sound. There's some destructive interference occurring there, IMO and it's detrimental to your mix (assuming I'm correct).
at

and beyond I was already disinterested because when I heard the build start I thought things were going to change, but they stayed exactly the same, and I personally didn't like it. I can hear there are SOME changes in the second drop, but they're barely noticeable. You need volume breaks, or new sounds. Add some percussion one shots on those down beats. Cut the volume for 1/16-1/8 of a beat and throw a random sound in the gap. Youll be surprised what you come up with
then after basically nothing new happening, you repeat the chorus again at
01:25
and it's exactly as boring as the first time you introduced it in the track.
It gets more interesting at
01:39
where the snare pattern comes in. I like that part, it's clearly a build, but there's not enough dynamic range in the sounds you're using, you're not making enough changes in volume or frequency. the sounds are simply changing in volume slightly, not tone or timbre, and that's boring too
between
00:40
and

I really dislike. I think it's the mixing that's making it unpleasant. The composition is there, for the most part. The problem with this segment is it gets immediately loud, and hit's it's maximum db for that part in the song, and it just stays there, and then suddenly drops off at
01:11
into the "verse 2" if you will, which is exactly like the first half again, which is fine, but the chorus was too boring IMO and so when you repeat the intro, I lose interest
