How it happened:
Built the whole track around
@aeiter
's beautiful beepbeep sample. The inspiration to use the 303 probably came from listening to
@PsySeeD
's tracks ;)
When most of the track was layed out and mixed I realised that there are more beautiful vocals suiting the original sample so the track got enhanced with those too.
Ok, Interesting. I EQed the vocal and then after the send a reverb -> compression -> a little distortion -> chorus. And then I cut the lows on the mixer channel where I feed the send back in.
Someone once recommended me to compress after the reverb. Can't remeber why though :/
yeah precisely man! I've found compression before reverb, and then EQ after reverb helps to tidy it up a bit, so the reverb has a consistent signal to work with
