I had no idea when I was ever gonna get another chance to work on this, so I spent the last little while, sorta rushing, trying to get this all done in one go. This is pretty much done, but I may still keep republishing it whenever I feel the need to go back and add/change little things. I kept most of the elements from the original draft (which is why a lot of it sounds professional, that's Icebox's work for ya), and then added on with my style. This was a ton of fun, thanks Icebox for giving me this cool concept to remix! I especially loved messing around with the vocal chops and making some of my own from the audio there. I also finally tried making ONE preset XD
BTW when I was working on this, I really wanted to change the BPM of the song so I could turn it into the EDM that I wanted to- it happened to change the pitch of everything when I sped up the BPM, and I couldn't figure out how to change the pitch of the audio samples, so that's why the damn vocals are high pitched now lol
I decided to work with it though. The vocals were slightly annoying to me in their high pitch form at first, but I got kinda used to them after working on this track for a little while.
this is solid. also btw. u can maintain the pitch of the samples if you use the timestretch mode when u right click the sample. its a very helpful trick that is surprisingly good in Audiotool.
I think I might wanna turn down the volume of the chords in the drop too, they seem to drown out the vocals a bit to me. I'm also not satisfied with the second build up, which is pretty much a copy paste of the first one- which could normally work, but this time I think it doesn't go with the second drop considering the fact that the second drop has actual vocals and not continuous vocal chops.
