Yeah, I actually totally agree. This song was kind of ridiculous. I will say, less is more.

make sure to balance your sounds carefully, choosing the correct volumes and tones for each voice in your track. stay away from unwarranted use of the tube distortion, as it will add noise and mess to your overall sound. and lastly, phaser / flanger use are really not necessary

if you stack your sounds like this, it gets too loud and it needs to compensate by cutting off all the sounds that are too loud. if you listen, you can hear random dips in the volume - it's too loud
