Also you could lose everything except the arps, sub, and main pad and it might play smoothly but all sound pretty much there

Maybe, I left the attack in with very little delay because it makes an interesting percussive popping sound that isn't clipping I don't think. I'm guessing it's something to do with saturated mid heavy sounds going through stereo effects. It used to be a lot worse.
