Zir0h: Now that I've had some sleep, and I have some time to think
First off I'd like to thank Grek for helping me with this track. He's right, we were stuck without ideas for our current drafts, so we started a new one, and almost got stuck on this too! Yesterday I made a breakthrough, and managed to piece together the beginning and end, although the hook is 100% Grek magic. I know that the transitions kinda sound weird, and I did have some trouble stitching things together, but I decided to leave it as it was, because to me it represents an aspect of life where Things can go well and suddenly change, but you gotta make things change for the better, and that's what I tried to do by allowing these transitions to stay as they are. the last transition at
02:48
was supposed to symbolize the "breaking point" where people tend to lose themselves, but then it comes back to happy, ending with the speech.
The break was supposed to be like glass breaking, but I didn't like any samples I found, and I couldn't build it, so I just used the snare pattern, which worked pretty good.
...and I still wanna fix that vocal sample, but I'm very pleased, and as usual, I had a lot of fun making this, and I'm sure Grek did as well. I think this one might be my new favorite.
I think I'm getting a lot better at EQing. I also really like the high pitch backup for the lead after the first transition. That was a fun layering effect to discover as well.

Thanks for listening, and, as always:
Stay classy, San Fran!

GREK: A great job, it all started with a project we did to pass the time and exchange some ideas, but that always takes bigger proportions lmao.
on this track we have some hints of EDM music, and a lot of affection towards it. thanks to
@Zir0h
, we have been able to make great progress since then, and, finally, here is the result of the new track.
enjoy!!

Wow that's awfully flattering, thank you! Idk if we're close to those guys' skill levels but thanks all the same. Glad you liked it! And thanks for listening :)
I think this is really nice. At times the melodies get a little bit busy and kinda muddy up the vox a little bit but all in all this is really cool :) Good job both of you!
