minimise the task manager open the control panel got to system and security then system then on the left hand side advanced system settings. Another tab will open up on performance hit settings and then hit 'adjust for best performance' This will take everything back to old school settings and free up cpu and ram. you can change this back when you're done. ok at the top of processes in the task it should show chrome and a shit load of ram, right click on it and set priority to high, Then look for the 'Host process for windows services' which is using the most ram - it will probably be in the top three if you click on the memory tab - right click on it and select 'go to services' look down the highlighted list till you find 'superfetch' right click on it and hit 'stop service'. It's a huge memory hog Don't worry when you reboot next time it'll start up again.
