The Wii U is the follow up for the Very Popular Wii by Nintendo. It has a touchscreen in the Controller. The system was released on November 18, 2012 in North America and on December 8, 2012 in Japan. The games can use any combination of the Wiimotes, Wii U Gamepad, Wii U Pro Controller and the Balance Board.
