FUTURE JETDARC HERE (202?), yeah, the key change is the fatal flaw with this song. (2024 Jetdarc): I see what younger me was trying to do here, and I just didn't have the know-how to pull it off like I believe I do today

  • Damn broooo im liking the retro video game style u got goin here man :D :D :D

  • Thats a p badass cover bro

  • i thought i faved this but ok

  • This highkey goes hard

  • this is super cool. i’m not a huge fan of the key changes since they sound like they were just kinda thrown in and don’t make a ton of sense, at least to my ear. but overall super neat and really well done chiptune

    • At least I think they're tritone subs. They might be a different kind of mixture. But they work really well.

    • Those aren't even key changes. They're tonicizations that flow as expected. There's nothing to pivot from because the way they move is to a chord that is already in key as a tritone substitution. The tonicization just holds it in that suspended state longer. The only true key change makes total sense in context.

    • aight

  • Dude this is really nostalgic. Those tonicizations are exactly how the Japanese video game composers were doing it when I was growing up.

    • It's like it's from straight out of MMBN but yet somehow different. Love it.

  • holy fuck one of my favorite artists rn

  • <3

  • wow nice stuff once again jet

  • Ugh the composition at 2:30 is phenomenal , amazing!

The almost random key changes to throw me off just a bit, but given the vibe of this all I think it actually fits it very well in the end

    Love this <3

  • as a drummer, I appreciate good sounding drums a lot <3

  • Oh shit I'm excited to listen to this when I get home
