Pluto used to be considered the ninth planet in our solar system, but in 2006, it was reclassified as a dwarf planet. It is located in the Kuiper Belt, a region beyond Neptune filled with icy bodies and small worlds. Pluto has five known moons, the largest of which is Charon. Despite its small size and distance from the sun, Pluto has a thin atmosphere and a unique reddish-brown color on its surface. Scientists continue to study and learn more about this intriguing celestial body.
