in celebration of 200 followers i am having a remix contest of one of my favorite composers, Fredric Chopin!!! :D
RULES:
-- DONT JUST ADD SAMPLES
-- YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE CONTENT (dont just add a beat to it, add new musical parts or rearrange it)
-- BE CREATIVE!!!!
by be creative i mean this:
-- move things around
-- you can delete parts EXCEPT FOR THE TONEMATRIX MELODY but you can move the notetrack to another synth AND can change the key of it or reverse it or whatever. but it still has to be there.
-- try to adapt this, a classical piece of music, into another genre like minimal techno or trance or (god, i hate to say it lol) dubstep. just whatever. personally i would go for ambient.
-- try to discover new things within the music...even if you arent that musically talented, still try to dig deeper into this.
DUE DATE: APRIL 12th. Thats the Firday of my spring break, so ill have a couple of days to judge remixes before i go back to school.
I DONT REALLY HAVE PRIZES. so i will offer:
-- possible advice
-- collabing with people
-- umm.....a follow.... (oh, isnt THAT exciting? :P)
IF the contest doesnt really take off then ill make my own remix and show you how awesome it couldve been if you all had remixed. but lets not worry about that now. ;)
im really excited about this! thanks to all of my followers and AT for supporting me!
happy remixing! :)
NOTES (IMPORTANT):
--
0:28
through
0:57
is OPTIONAL material. you can use it or not use it. it wont count against you.
-- the main part i want to have a sense of is the beginning through
0:28
-- the beginning of the development part at
0:28
is from the score, but from
0:38
till
0:57
is my personal work because the etude switches to another key. ;)
OK i'll see about this then. I happen to really like Chopin. But I always feel dirty trying to rework anything he did because, cmon man... he's Chopin. I like dirty so its all good.
