I get this, I had a very toxic uncle like this, best thing I ever did was cut them out of my life.
Same with my mom, I haven't seen her in like 7 yrs, it sucks- but if all they gave you was grief and depression then it's best to get away' or at least it was for me.
You never realize how toxic someone is until you get a breath of fresh air.
