The "golden days" of audiotool; the days when people were more creative, and actually used this site for the love of music. What happened to AT? What changed?
Hey guys! My name is DJ and I love music. That's why I got into audio arts in the first place, haha! My friend's name is JJ and he is into visual arts. We get along well and our passions brought us together in the form of this project, hence the name: DtripleJ. This project has benefited immensely from the free service that AT has provided, so I want to give back to the community. The idea of this event is to inspire creativity and to produce some quality synth presets for the use of the AT community. Here's my plan of attack:
#1- Participants will be creating both presets and a track to showcase them.
#2- All synth presets must be saved and available to all users.
#3- Only use the reverb, sampler for perc, and synths. This is to keep the focus on creating an excellent starting point. The end sound can only be as good as the starting sound, right?! ;)
#4- Although the deadline for the competition is 03/06/2022, I think it would be splendid if people kept participating for as long as AT lasts.
In the beginning of this description, I mentioned the golden days of AT. I don't believe in that idea. I do believe that people have gotten a little lazy about being musically creative because AT has become more powerful than it has ever been due to it's social platform and array of devices. People tend to get caught up in the social and technical sides of AT and get distracted from what they came here for, music. Now, I don’t believe that this concept is exclusive to AT, it has infected the entirety of the music industry. I created these limitations with this in mind. Have fun and let your creativity run wild! haha!
I spent a lot of time thinking this out, and I'm really excited for this. I can't believe that 100 people want to support this project! Thanks so much AT community! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!
make some epic public presets, and make a song to showcase them. u may use any synth u would like! i'm hoping the community will get some quality presets from this, but ultimately i want this to challenge you to enjoy yourself and be creative.
