I guess I can take jus a sec to vent a little... :3

Frankly, I'm kinda sick of those riddim kids who slide into the comment section of those older sounding dubstep tracks on AT thinking they're something and saying "Wow this sounds old asf dude liek fuckin 2014 or smtn it's p bad get wit da thymes broijlwbeubvn..." Older dubstep isn't bad dubstep, you're just a riddim kid. I started really listening to dubstep around 2012. Ya know that old ass excision, space laces, spag heddy, and different heaven type stuff? I listened to entire mixes of those while playing video games or doing homework.
Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is that producing something that sounds like it was from the era of when dubstep was mainstream music isn't objectively bad... in fact, that's WHY it was mainstream... it was actually pretty good stuff.
Doesn't happen to me too often nowdays, but I'm still seeing that happen to a lot of other users.

I'm also pretty over that idea that you can't produce decent dubstep on AT, and saying it's a "limited" DAW. Not too many people say that kinda stuff anymore I think, but it's still annoying when it happens.

Anyways, this is for you, ya' uncultured riddim kids lol:
like you won't find amazing albums in dubstep consistently. it's all ep's,single, etc. the LP format is so underused that all it usually does is show how lacking said artists are in other genres and style.
He's actually pretty stupid, though knowledgeable. I guess that's why idc what kinda crit he dishes out cuz he's actually correct like 99% of the time.
this is really cool and i agree with most all of the points you make. you're talented and this shows it. you've caught up with the 2014 spag heddy and such. this is really hot. those artists from that time that you admire so much have multiplied their skill level since then. yeah they might have gone all riddim on us, but if you are going to be the one to keep old dubstep alive, you're going to have to aim to be many times better than what they were.im saying dont be the moonboy of old dubstep.
oh yeah stormdrain thebiocide goes even more oldschool yet can never stop hitting hard. i just wish he would post more often. i keep telling him how good he is. soundcloud messaging is kind of difficult.
That's true, the people still making it would have to aim pretty high. This is why I like Artists like DirtyPaws and ELEPS. They make their stuff in an older style, but they're both still incredibly good. To my knowledge, DirtyPaws has released literally 0 riddim tracks. lol
