Well... I can't say this is complete.. And I hate to publish something that's unfinished.. but I like the way this sounds so far and I'm impatient. Can't figure out what I want to do with this yet.
While the tracks you make are atleast impressive, the tracks you are going to be able to create if you make them more complex are going to be way better. From now on, i think you should put some effects to your synths, and you will be stunned as to how much detail they add, if you havent tried them already. Just play around with the knobs of everything. Hopefully you will start using synths way sooner than i did lol.
My other track Awaken/Discover is all just one synth and I did use an effect on that one. I have a lot of unpublished sample projects I've been playing with. I think they just need to come together naturally, so hopefully something will come together in the near future. This one obviously isn't necessarily "finished" but I wanted to publish it for now anyway because I liked the sound. Who knows it will probably just be left as is on the back burner for a long time.
Thanks for the feedback!! I'm a beginner at making electronic music. I'm not very tech savvy. So far I like using synths the most. The only problem is they usually sound pretty on their own, but like this one for example is so short Idk how to make it longer. I'm working on a backtrack for it but I'm having trouble making it fit, because like I said it sounds pretty just by itself.
I used an fx pedal on my last one I think. I have the machiniste and heisenberg up, heisengberg with another guitar sound, but any beat I made didn't seem to fit right lol. I play actual guitar too I could also record something too. I just don't know right now xD Idk, the synths seem to be okay on their own. Like this almost sounds like a complete short song or at least an intro, but I don't want it to be so short, I want more, but I'm scared to add more because it already sounds complete...
You're right you already used a chorus fx! I was taking this track as an example, but these tips are simply some suggestions for your next steps on AT to get a better grasp of the devices. I know from experience that the quantity of features in here can be quite overwhelming when you start. These tips may be more useful for your next tracks then ;)
Hehe the famous block ((: Some advice that may help you... Try to experiment with some fx pedals to see the difference in the final output. Right now, I am thinking about the TubeD to add distortion, Reverb or Quasar to add some depth, etc. A tiny bit of chorus or flanger fx are also quite common to add some variations to the electric guitar sound.
Also, now that you use several synths, you have multiple sources of sounds. To enhance the role of each synth (in the low/mid/high frequencies), you can start mastering, meaning to adjust the frequencies of each sound (personnally, I find the Curve both intuitive and complete) and to adapt the final volume of each synth on your Centroid. There is a help button (?) at the bottom of each device if you need details. I am really not an expert in this but I hope it will help you :)
Another idea: while you have one guitar synth running in the background with a monotonic rhythm, the other guitar synth can gain some 'freedom' through a solo with more variations in terms of rhythm and notes. You can have a look at tutorials or websites to learn more about notes and chords on keyboards and how to combine multiple synth layers without risking to sound out of key (that's what I am doing right now).
