atmosphere is cool, sounds blend somewhat well. the bass and sub bass are severely lacking, which sort of takes me out of this deep bass underwater kind of vibe.
I personally really like the vocal sample, but I personally would've done a bit more to alter it to my own personal tastes (i usually like to really distort the vocals somehow) that being said I feel it really works here. There's lots you could do with something like that and I think what you guys did was fine
I also saw
@JayFK
do a thing in his TRAUMA track where he set his bass to mono and used two piano rolls to get a layered effect. You could try experimenting with that as well
P.s. forgot to clarify that when u run the bass thru the filter, you should only allow sounds in the 40-120hz range pass thru
I'm sure I missed a few things here, but hopefully this is enough general information to be helpful! :)
I tried to come up with a song recommendation but I can't think of anything
You can use the slope as your filter and then a curve EQ to shape the filtered sound a bit more ( set the filter first in the chain before the eq), or you can set it after the EQ if you would rather shape the sound before filtering out the high end. No stereo effects needed, you dont want it to get muddied with the existing sounds. Also set the LPF with a high shelf of like....100db. if you have a shelf curve option, set it to 48db curve (heis has this in its built-in filter)
Really cool ! Where did you found the vocals ? The bass sounds nice, however I have the feeling it does not fits the rest of the music. Maybe it's just a matter of taste :)
You will have to ask Soph about where he got some of the vocals. Imo, I rlly like the bass and think it matches the track quite well, especially the whole cyberpunk vibe included.
