Why is mixing the mids so hard?

I love digging into old forums for technical musical advice in production. The Audiotool board helps as well, but it's good learning from your other standpoints so you can correct your problem.

Melody work is prett trance typic. Good work. On my headphones the bass is ok but the higher parts are a biot painful. For my deifition of Trance there could be a little more delay, its not all about melodies. Something has to massage the brain. Check out @Inavon s early works for great Trance

I was thinking kick's pitch lower but it's sounds pretty cool! As I said, it's also about your feeling and taste!

I think it s a kind of taste but for me I would compress with very low rate on all the synth on every kick then you can mix up the melody and then maybe have a kick a little lower. Sorry for my english and my lack of mixing knowledge cause I m sure you already thought about what I m saying! ^^

Boosted low mids on supersaw bus. Removed low pass on aux delay to make the track less constricted.

I remixed this. I compared it to some reference tracks and decided to add more treble to the mix profile as well as a midrange pad to make the mix sound full. Let me know how I did.
