Weekly Challenge #6

Jordi challenges you to create a track with a different time signature than the usual 4/4. It can be 3/4, 5/4, or even more unconventional. The rest is up to your creativity.

Challenge Summary:

  • Create a track with a different time signature than 4/4
  • All time signatures allowed except 4/4
  • You can use any synths, drum computers, samples (within Audiotool Terms), and tools
  • All genres are welcome
  • Deadline: September 25
  • Complex meters like 7/8 will be valued higher than simple or compound meters like 3/4
  • Melodies should be composed to fit the time signature. They can't feel like 4/4 with something added afterwards, for example.

Rules

Entry Specific Rules

  • All synths, drum computers and effects are allowed
  • Only tracks in different time signature than 4/4 are allowed
  • Name the time signature you used in the title of your submission

  • 2 Submissions allowed
  • Minimum Length 2 minutes, maximum length 5 minutes
  • You can't delete tracks from the submission list, think carefully about what you submit
  • Zero copyrighted material - we want to hear your unique sound
  • Make sure your tracks are remixable and downloadable

  • Make sure your Audiotool account has a reachable email - we'll need it!
  • Prizes are yours alone - they can't be transferred to others
  • Won as a team? Great! Just remember, you'll need to share the prize
  • Just a heads up - we can't exchange prizes for cash
