My Newest Song (not trap)

Honestly I have no idea what the genre is. I'm guessing it is Drum n Bass. I set the mood to an egyptian kind of mood.
I think my track deserves the spotlight because of my sound design, mixing, and mastering.

I will now get into more detail on my spotlight reasons.

Sound Design

Basses

I used a lot of round and analog waveforms with rounded, growl-like LFOs. I tried recreating HP (HighPeak) filters from Serum, a wavetable synthesizer, using Curve. It came out successful. I like to automate the highpass and the peak from the low and high frequencies inward to a frequency or range of frequencies. That helps give my sounds a lot more vocal feeling to them.
I like to use the Waveshaper instead of the Tube for a more controlled distortion. I still used some Tubes though.

Synths

I used almost all analog waveforms and a lot of lowpass filter. I used no HP filter, but regular EQing.
I used mostly Tube for distortion, with only one Waveshaper.
And for that vocal synth you'll hear in the drop and buildup, I used a rapid-rate Chorus with low depth and a Reverb with full mix and no room.

Mixing

I turned up 1khz frequencies in all the synths, turned down 4khz in most of them, and turned up 200hz in most of them. I used a lot of highshelf in the whole mix.
I highpassed all the synths. I made all my synths very wide in stereo width. I did the same with the basses. I made the drums very mono in stereo width. I highpassed everything except the kick at least 50hz. I'm using Quantum, a multiband compressor, to bring out certain frequencies in certain sounds. I panned all my synths and basses 25% to the right, all my FX 25% to the left, and my drums to the center. Since the waveshapers leave some feedback behind at around -50db, I used a gate to cut those out. I sidechained some items like synths and basses to the kick and snare. I made an 808 super short (1/128) and put it before the kick and snare, then I sidechained that to everything to make a sort of pre-sidechainer.

Mastering

I used a splitter and merger before and after my mastering as a dry/wet system.
To start, I used a bandsplitter to split my frequency bands up. Then I used splitters and mergers to hook up one frequency band into two others for each of them. Then I hooked up each 3rd splitter output into 3 compressors for each band, and hooked up each merger into the sidechain. This created a sort of multiband inter-compression. Next, I hooked each frequency band into its own EQ and merged the frequencies of each band together via EQ. Next, I used exciters for each frequency band. Also, I used waveshapers for each frequency band. I waveshaped the lows a little upward. I waveshaped the mids a little more upward. I waveshaped the highs pretty fat. After that, I used stereo enhancers to change the stereo width of each frequency band. Then, for each frequency band, I used reverb that has ita own EQ and stereo enhancer. Then I merged the frequency bands together. After the dry/wet system, I used a final EQ to view the frequency spectrum and its evenness. I also used it to round out super low and super high frequencies, low shelf, up 1khz, up 4khz, and very slightly high shelf.
Keep in mind, this I only a broad explanation of what I did.
