I am in love with this synth in RUFUS DU SOL's song Underwater. It starts in between 0:48 and 0:49 on that first downbeat and on the 4th upbeat. I'm not sure exactly how to describe it, like a "synth hit" maybe?? It has a low pass filter going down with a medium release time, but that's all I can figure out. https://soundcloud.com/rufusdusol/underwater-3
Any help getting this type of sound would be appreciated.

thats a horn.
get a brass sample and slap a slope lowpass filter on it.
I gave it a try to get you an idea (play on octave 2): https://www.audiotool.com/app/#/updn6nwz
Hope you can open it this way - otherwise I need some instructions how to share some drafts.
That sounds to me like a super-saw with a simple decaying filter envelope. Maybe with a tiny bit of noise mixed in for more brightness on the attack. Clean super-saws are a bit hard to do in AT but you can try with the Heisenberg or Space.
I had the same estimation and designed that super-saw using three oscillators on the pulverisateur and pitched two of them by +-700 cents. Not as rich as the original but still the right direction.
Took me a while to find an acceptable noise color. I would have liked a second filter curve for the noise.
nah, it sounds more saw-like.
The problem with super-saws on Pulverisateur and Heisenberg is that all the oscillators/operators always start on the same phase, therefore you get a sort of unpleasant phasing effect as phases go in and out of sync with each other. There's a trick on the Heisenberg to get three operators to be at random phases by modulating them by different amounts by the fourth operator set to a square wave with zero frequency (constant value). Alternatively, you could try making the sound on Space, which features random phases for the partials. A separation of 1 should give you a saw-tooth harmonic distribution. About the noise, I'd try anything above white (blue, purple), since you want just brightness, not any low or mid range. Space can be quite "noisy" if you raise Vaporisation or Dispersion. You can also have a second Pulverisateur providing just the noise with a different envelope and merge it with the synth providing the main sound.
@jordynth
His royal supersawiness has blessed us with his precense.
that link is not working, it's telling me I found a bug and reloading. you could try going to project > invite in the app
That's odd ... I just loaded that link and got my setup back ... but it now sounds different?! I tweaked it back, and created a bookmark "working". Then I invited you, but your name wasn't within the auto-completion.
Hope this works for you.
nope still not there
okay i invited you to a draft
You've got a new device - hope this helps a bit
