Some techniques behind how i make certain synths

Heyo my persons, sim here, wanted to tell you guys how i make some of the sounds in my new stuff.
If you want to know about a specific thing, leave a comment i guess and i'll try to get back @ ya

PADS

For pads, I usually start off with an almost-saw wave, essentially just taking the knob that controls the wave and moving just slightly behind a saw, and then start to mess around with the amp envelope. What i usually wind up doing there is a fairly long release, medium attack and long decay with about 30-40% sustain. After this, I typically add a filter envelope as well, usually matching up with the amp env, but a little trick I've found is to have no attack on the filter envelope while having a long attack on the volume envelope. This gives a kind of effect of 'falling in' to the filter. I usually have the filter at about 50%, the resonance ~10-25%, and the amount of filter envelope 15-30%

EFFECTS

I usually like to add some stereo to my pads by adding a stereo detune, putting the delay at 100% and the tune at anywhere between 2/-2% to 7/-7%
After the stereo, I like adding a really long, droning reverb, having the room size at full, feedback all the way down, dampening to ~40%, and usually putting the level at a full 100%, but sometimes around 60-70%

ARPS/LEADS

I start off these a lot like i start off pads, with an almost saw wave, messing around with the filter/amp env, etc etc. The main difference between my arps/leads and pads is the amount of decay and release and that I like to have these mono, hitting the center of the stereo field while the pads drone throughout whole field. Decay will be shorter and release will be longer, usually a lot longer ahah

EFFECTS

For the effects on these, I typically just have a drone-y reverb like the one on the pad, but a lot of times, i split the signal before I go to the reverb and send it to a stereo delay chain

NOTE: Delay chains

For my delays, I'll take an incoming signal, filter it to where only frequencies in the high-mid range come through, and then split it into 2 delays, one of which has a second delay after it, and then put each signal into a minimixer, one being panned to the left, one to the right. The delay with a second one after it is only there to delay the signal by 1/16-1/8 before it goes into the 'actual'
delay. It should look a little something like this:

I usually get way more complex with these, but this is the foundation of it

BASSES

I think I'll keep this section simple by just explaining how I make the bass that can be heard in a lot of my newer stuff.
Using a pulv, I start off by turning on the noise and first 2 oscillators, making the latter saw waves and then detuning the second osc by around 7-30 cents and on the former, bringing the level down to about -25 dB and the color 100%. Then, for the volume envelope, I put a tiny bit of attack, very short release, and full sustain (decay doesn't factor in here since the sustain is at full). Then the filter gets brought down to about 90% and i turn the glide on to around 50 ms.

EFFECTS

Some distortion at full drive, a lowpass at ~1000Hz, and then a reverb with no feedback, room size around 70-90ms, dampening at 50%, and the level at a full 100%

Yeah, so that about concludes it. If ya have any questions/comments, leave em down below
