Does anybody have a good technique for creating silence? I'm trying to make an arrangement of John Cage's 4"33' and I'm in desperate need of total silence.

Time for a feature request? ;)
As Debussy once said: "Music is silence between the notes". But... if there's no note for silence to be in between, is it still music?!
4"33' isn't so much about silence as it is about the sounds that happen during the performance in the audience, on stage, in the environment, and so on. :)
Hah! Nice one :)
just turn off your computer and sit there for 4 minutes and 33 seconds
Am late, but frig is alive :0
Have a really quiet white noise sound.
what if we had a long sample which is virtually silent?
What dB level of noise does Audiotool consider to be total silence? Asking for a friend ;)
