Is there any way to lower a pitch of a brass hit without slowing the song down?

Yes in the machiniste there is a pitch option if you click the box that the same is on to the far left then go down to pitch mod and the pitch both do the same thing. Just tweak it until you find the Pitch you are looking for. :)

along the bottom of the Machiniste there are many knobs that you can turn, to the far left, right next to the start and end knobs there is a pitch knob, you can turn it up and down, however if you turn the pitch down the whole way it will slow the sample down slightly, but not the song itself. also if the brass hit is in key, there is a ratio to properly tune it to a specific semitone.

to turn it down one semitone, set the pitch to -0.167 cents, and to turn it up one, set it to 0.167

so for 2 semitones you would turn it down to -0.334 for 3 -0.501 and so on, its the same way for turning it up 2 or 3 semitones. 0.334; 0.501

sorry for overexplaining, but for every semitone, you either add or subtract 0.167 for the correct pitch ratio, so if the brass hit is in C, set the pitch to 0.167 to have it set to D, that is, unless you have multiple brass samples, one for each note, but im guessing you dont since you wrote this thread haha
