Here's something that could give you similar results: Take a Heisenberg and program your notes first (typically in the 2 octave). Start with a sine wave and use the phase modulation matrix to self-modulate it to taste. Then modulate it again with a second sine wave pitched one octave below. Assign a slow LFO to modulate the amplitude of the second sine wave to animate the modulation. This will give you nasty harmonics. Fine tune the values until you find a sweet spot that sounds good. Increase unison to 2 and detune for stereo spread. Run the output through a Tube pedal to further distort the sound. Use a Slope pedal set to notch to EQ the sound in a typical bass growl fashion. That's pretty much it. The main concept is that frequency/phase modulation is the best synthesis method to obtain the crazy/nasty harmonics typical of those sounds.
I know this isn't for sound design, but how would you go for getting that glitchy bass?
You could try using the Rasselbock device: https://www.audiotool.com/board/manual/rasselbock
self modulation theres something you dont see everyday
