You need to use the Compressor pedal. Connect the sound that you want to compress (for example a bass) to the "INPUT" connector. Connect the sound that you want to drive the compressor (for example a kick drum) to the "SIDECH." connector. The compressed sound is output from the "OUTPUT" connector. The default parameters should give you a noticeable effect. If you need a more pronounced effect, try raising the compression ratio and/or lowering the threshold. If you need to change the "rhythm" of the effect, try changing the release and attack controls.
