Let’s see
Uhh
Pick a gritty waveform, one of those squiggly ones
Move the semitones down
Mess with some phase modulation
Usually you should automate the tune down
Distortion is a good

resample a square wave like 5 times with 10 voices of detune, crop out a section of the wavetable, remove fundamental, normalize each frame, morph crossfade, then squarify it. make it -1 octave because squarified sounds can do that. on sawtooth up sweep through the wavetable position and add a highpeak filter. do a 700hz centered growl motion. add some drive to that filter and blast the resonance nearly max. add a flanger and sweep it sawtooth 0 to 50%. filter again on high-notch filter. add a bit of drive. add the compressor turn on multiband, add a distortion turn it on x-shaper mode. on "a" make the shape flat at the bottom. automate the drive from 0 to 100 with your volume lfo. add hyper. set the mix to 100%, the rate to 100%, the detune to 30%, oh and add this before the distortion. spam ott at this point, then add a waveshaper at the end in a hard-clip shape to make it loud, oh and eq that thing. the growl may sound a bit amp-y. if so congrats u just dion timmer'd! oh yeah and take off the unison from your wavetable. actually use 3 with 0 random phase. and set your detune to like .30. also gg if ur growl is a bit resonant. also don't forget to add reversed glass breaking on it cuz it sounds nice and idk its just fucking awesome. highpass them at like 100hz and add sub. oh yeah dont forget to pitch automate the growl, do the same to the sub.

my stomach lowkey dropped when i saw this

2019-12-17 16:43 · 2019-12-17

Can you demonstrate this in a track that others can open and examine its audio chain? Most of it sounds like nonsense.

it's in Serum, not AT

virux · reply
2019-12-17 16:50 · 2019-12-17

most of it is either impossible or really hard to do in AT

2019-12-17 17:03 · 2019-12-17

Then why post this here? This is a sound design board as it applies to AT. The post says "Dubstep -on AT-".
