I'm a kid with a laptop too. I'm a little bit more into sound design, if you want a collab I'm up for it, but I'm getting new headphones within the week, js let me know if you're up for it
Most modern heavy/digital bass sounds are made in either Serum ( Wavetable ), or Operator ( FM ) in Ableton with an extensive FX chain of plugins. The basic idea is to create a gritty timbre, and modulate it by automating a multi-stage envelope through the wavetable or fm. Then you process and squash it into a solid brick with controlled distortion and multiband compressor. Lastly, you throw a separate Sine Synth/Sub Bass underneath.
You've gotta spend a lot of time really trying to finesse the distortion to play nice with the modulation. Basic AT Dist. Pedal prob not gonna cut it.
Sorry, it's not an easy answer, not as easy as classic synth sounds unfortunately.
I'd say look at what others are doing with the synth, and experiment on your own, or with others. I would also start out on smaller effect chains if you're not the biggest into sound design. I can actually inv you to a draft if you need. Cause there's a shit load that goes into sound design. But I'm glad someone is taking an interest in making this shit, can't wait to see where you'll be in a year.
