Samples defined as loops have tempo assigned to them. When you add them to your arrangement, they automatically adjust to fit your tempo. One shots don't have tempo information. They still adapt to changes of your arrangement's tempo but the actual audio doesn't necessarily fit it. So, either use loops with a known tempo, or use one shots by changing the arrangement's tempo to the sample's (if you know it), then changing it back to the original value.
