Overview

Getting your music noticed can be a hassle, especially for newer musicians who are looking to get their work recognised.
Spamming is definitely not a good way to go about the matter, so what can we really do?

Interaction with the community is definitely a good way to go about this, but the outcome won't be as big as it could be (most of the time.)

Branding and other types of marketing

-Having a good and unique moniker/alias/name can grab someone's attention. Not all the time, but it could.

-Good quality track artwork. In 2 senses. The artwork being good, and not looking like a YouTube video from 2006.

If text is included, make sure your fonts work with the details of the picture. Simply, don't put the Declaration of Independence on a glitch wallpaper you downloaded from Tumblr.

-A creative, or good looking logo.
(For artwork, I would recommend using getpaint.net [this is free] or Photoshop, rather than an online software.)

-Find an aesthetic. For example, https://www.audiotool.com/user/this-is-embr/ and Robin Hood. https://www.audiotool.com/user/electropony/ and MLP:FiM

I find this to be good branding in some situations, especially when you're associating your music with something popular that can attract other people to your music (that enjoy the thing that you're associated with); like how Scraton creates music based off of the characters from Overwatch.

Other methods

-Being in Audiotool Discord servers. Most of the time the #music channel can also be used for sharing your own music and asking for criticism, so this could get you a step closer.

-Posting in https://www.audiotool.com/board/promoting
