Voyd, alongside VLTRA and Sila, is undoubtedly a standout member of the Audiotool Lo-Fi community. For six years, he has captivated audiences with his scratchy and laid-back sound creations, always exhibiting a calm and understated demeanour, much like his presence within the community. It's time to give a well-deserved nod to the one who truly deserves recognition.
As you may be aware, a devastating earthquake struck Turkey and Syria recently. Emre, a resident of Turkey, has asked for your support in using his status as an Audiotool Featured Artists artist to bring attention to this tragedy.
So now we are asking you, on behalf of Emre, if possible, to donate to aid the victims of this disaster. Below are some links to international organizations taking donations for this cause.

My name is Emre Girginkaya. I am 28 years old and I am from İstanbul/turkey. I think I have been in this community for almost 6 years. I started making music that was highly influenced by Tlim Shug (VLTRA). I saw on youtube that people were saying he was currently making music with this audiotool.com. Then I started to use this software to produce lo-fi house hip hop music in the beginning. But now I try to produce more abstract, experimental and ambient stuff.
Describe the style of music you produce
İ am producing experimental music nowadays. I don't know how to program any synth, I mainly use the samples in the website ,also chopping from my records and process in Audiotool. I can say my style is more like sound designing and creating weird beats with these samples.
What is your musical background and when did you start making music?
I don't have any musical background. However, I’ve always been curious about sound, the way of producing music and so on.
What is your favorite Audiotool device and why?
I think it's Machinist, I can do almost everything with it! I love the way of working step sequences and doing lots of experiments with pitch modulations. İt is super nice!
What is your favorite trick in AT/What technique do you always use?
I actually have two tricks for people who want to make Ambient music. I mainly use quasar with a high decay which is connected to any Machinist. I reverse the sample and automate the start point. This gives some sort of modulation to give the synth pad etc more variety. The second one is the point of any loop (especially for drums) : you can make a really interesting beat with this technique.
Have you ever had a writer's block? If so, how did you deal with it and what do you recommend to your colleagues?
I never had one!
What has helped you the most on Audiotool to improve and widen your musical horizon?
I remember I was watching some tutorials which are very few on youtube I guess, but I am big fan of all kinds of music. I think I owe this to listening to too much music. This inspires me a lot. Also, experimenting with all kinds of pedals, twisting knobs etc...
What do you like most about Audiotool? Is there anything you would like to suggest?
I love this way of making music by using the internet. It might look a bit confusing for other people. But the interface is so friendly to me. I love the way of patching cables and it reminds me of vcv rack.
