ØutOfBounds: His name alone gives us an idea of what we are dealing with. Even if, roughly speaking, you can classify him as an EDM artist, he doesn't let that restrict him and surprises us again and again with border-crossers whose only limitation is the high demand for quality.

Interview:

About ØutOfBounds :

I am from Pennsylvania in the USA and I've been on and off AT for about 4 years now. My goal was and still is to become the best musician I can and to keep improving. I have been trying to learn as many styles, techniques, tips, tricks, all of that for as long as I can remember just trying to improve all the time. A tradition I want to start with my self is to make a song using everything I've learned up until that date every year to basically make the best song I can and to watch myself improve over the years. Also my favorite type of pizza in meat lovers hehe.

Which artist has had the most influence on you (on and/or outside Audiotool)?

Its hard to say as I've had so many inspirations. I'd say my biggest on AT is Looks and off AT is Porter Robinson. But its a very close tie between many artists I listen to.

Who would you like to work /collaborate with on and outside Audiotool, and why?

On AT, definitely Looks if he still did stuff on there more often or was just willing to do it. Off AT, probably Curbi. He makes a style of house I've been trying to replicate or at least get close too for years. It would be cool to see what we could do and what I could learn.

Which film/game would you like to produce the score for or contribute a song to?

Definitely Dark Souls. The boss themes in those games are so unique to the games and always sound so epic and meaningful. I would love to have a boss or character to base an epic orchestral track off of.

Have you ever had a writer's block? If so, how did you deal with it and what do you recommend to your colleagues?

I have had plenty of artist blocks especially recently. I've recently taken on a quote to help me deal with them. "Change the process, change the outcome." - Mick Gordon. Its such a useful quote when low on inspiration as it makes think of different ways to approach your art instead of repeating the same things all the time. I tell this quote to anyone who needs it including myself all the time. It really helps you get more creative even when low on inspiration or motivation.

What has helped you the most on Audiotool to improve and widen your musical horizon?

Some more experienced AT users are much help. They are people who have tons of knowledge and are willing to give criticism to anyone in need. They also are able to mix genres and inspire others to do so.

What do you like most about Audiotool? Is there anything you would like to suggest?

The daw itself is amazing especially for being free. It really helps you learn the basics of what actually goes into making a song. Mostly the Mixing/Mastering aspects. Its also just great for people who can't afford more professional daws and want to start making music. My only suggestion is to keep adding things to it. It's very versatile already but could be even more versatile if you keeping adding more synths, effects, etc. to really help people get even more creative.

Your message to the community:

Keep making music. Don't let anything stop you if its what YOU want to do. Make what YOU want. It doesn't have to sound professional. It has to sound like YOU.

  • man ur so awesome i love this and u deserved this! keep being the amazing person you are!

  • nice job man! :DDD

  • Congrats on the feature man!

  • congrats man :D

  • Hey! That's awesome that you got featured :D

  • Also, big ups for your message to the community about making what YOU wanna do. It doesn't matter if others don't like your work because it's their opinion. Prioritising my own pride over my tracks versus trying to satisfy other people's taste of music is something many producers including me discovered the hard way, glad you put it out there ✊

  • My man istg ive followed ur journey from when u first went into a discord call on the AT server to ask me for feedback

Out of all the underdogs and upcoming artists that have caught my attention, you are probably the only one I have followed all the way through and always get me intrigued

What i love about you most is your ability to experiment with genres and still somehow make it sound like you are well polished in that specific area on your first try

From ambient future bass, cyberpunk bass music, electro funk, rock, future house and even trap, you have explored many genres and have constantly impressed us all

Your long time here was also not wasted; your mixes are always improving, always finding a way to make then cleaner

And your ability to come up with melodies and solos never fail to amaze me

Lately, ive been studying your drafts through remixes and i can tell how much of a polished producer youve become ever since that discord call i met you in

From an underdog asking for feedback, to someone even I look up to now. You really remind me of Xavi's journey here, and you're definitely gonna get into far places in life if you keep up the work. You really deserve this feature for the creative genius that you are ✌
