[[Attachment:1]]It's September 9th, 909 Day and we’re turning it into something bigger: the official Audiotool Beatbox Day. Since we’ve always been too busy during past summers to celebrate on 808 Day, we don’t want this iconic machine to feel left out!
To celebrate, we’re challenging you to grab either a **Beatbox 8 **or **Beatbox 9 **and create your best beats (and more)!
Rules:

303, 808, and 909 Day is an annual international institution. We haven't organized a contest with the 808 yet, and we're sure there are people who would be excited about it. Apparently, you're not one of them—no problem.

Interesting. I'm always using Beatbox 8 in my projects for my hi hats and for the maracas. I may submit a track or 2, just for the fun of it. I suppose it would be pretty cool to have Drum Machine Hardware. idk... right now, I seem to be getting by without it just fine. It would be cool to own though. I'd be afraid it wouldn't get enough use and mainly just sit and collect dust. LOL..Idk, Behringer is a good company.
I had a Behringer 300/3 channel mixer some years back and that thing was a beast mixer. I was impressed. So I say yea good choice.

This might seem like a dumb question, or it might seem like I'm splitting hairs, but I just want to ask and make sure:
Bouncing samples from either of the two drum machines that we need to use would be illegal right? Even though the samples are from the drum machines specified, they're technically samples, which are listed as illegal.
I'm just curious because I feel like there might be some other possibilities with mixing when we consider bouncing the samples, but I don't want an invalid entry.

FUN FACT ABOUT THE 808:
Back in the day, producers quickly realized that if you turned the decay knob to its maximum, the kick wouldn’t fade out quickly—it would sustain as a long, low sine-like tone with a punchy attack. That “extended decay” transformed the kick into both a drum and a bass note at the same time.
While the stock TR-808 already had a pretty long decay, tinkerers and modders discovered that by altering resistors or potentiometers in the bass drum circuit, they could push the decay time way beyond what Roland intended. This made the kick ring out even longer, creating the deep sub-booms that became legendary in southern hip-hop and later trap that we know today!

No. Samples and synths aren’t allowed. Tonematrix as sequencer, synths as envelopes and ring modulation is allowed

You can send the beatbox signal through the pulv and use the filters

This is EMT, the beat box 808, is one of the drum machines i ever had to work with. That sounds so cool, using it in the beat box 25 Competition, but the beat box 909 is awesome, a drum machine you definitely got to you, Good luck to you all.
