It has happened a couple times already, when I listen to a sample its all good and dandy but whenever I try to put it into my song the sound gets all distorted, voices are way deeper and stuff like that, any chance I can fix it?

maybe its because when you upload the sample you upload it as a loop, which makes it chained into a certain bpm, so when you put the sample into another bpm it will be distorted to match the speed of the song (thus altering the original samples tone)
try sampling it as a one shot, i think it will fix the problem
Are you referring to samples that you have uploaded yourself or from the library? However, it is true that the difference between the sample BPM and the track BPM plays a role in this. If the difference is too large, it distorts and also becomes lower
