Sample Upload

L8 BLOOMER · started 2024-10-22 00:13 · updated 2024-10-22 20:43

I just want to make sure I'm understanding the sample upload requirements. I'm not allowed to upload any sample that is from sources other than my own? Even if they are royalty free, free downloads (free to use)? I'm about to upload a sample which isn't copyrighted but I want to be sure the text: "Do not upload samples from other artists, sample-cd's, or online libraries." applies to only copyrighted samples. Clarification is greatly appreciated.

Even with the sample I'm looking to upload, I still want to credit the original creator in my desc

The problem with samples from packs (royalty free etc.) is that in the EULA it usually states not to upload them to 3rd party servers etc.
AT is considered one such server.

Well the one I am looking to upload isn't from any pack. Its from a free download from this guy's youtube channel

Is that allowed? Also, if royalty free samples aren't allowed, why are so many of them still up on audiotool that I can use?-

It entirely depends on the EULA that comes with the download. If it prohibits distribution or uploading to 3rd part servers, then it can't be uploaded to AT.

@callycus yeah all I see is after I click on the link in this dudes description on youtube, it takes me to a site where either I can buy it or download for free if I subscribe to his soundcloud. I don't see any agreement anywhere between youtube and that site

Typically the EULA comes within the downloaded folder.
