Hello Fellow Users,
I am producing off of a Chromebook. It' s very limited as a lot of programs are unavailable to me. There is one track that I'm working on in particular... I cannot do anything with this track as it constantly lags... I've gotten rid of all the effects, muted everything but the main synth, I've even closed other windows on my browser... At this point, I am at a loss. Could someone possibly help with this problem? It's really hurt my producing...

install and use Booster, its an absolute lifesaver > https://www.audiotool.com/board/what_s_new/utility_audiotool_next < Unfortunately Chromebooks are the worst platforms to produce music on, it takes very little to push them to their limit, and in this case, show Overload. Save up for a suitable p.c/laptop if you can, sorry there isnt more to help you with
Wrong board.
Try these steps and see if they help: https://www.audiotool.com/board/general/next_first_aid
Please let us know if this is still an issue. Also make sure that you are on the most recent chrome (70 as of writing this), which also seems to solve some performance issues.
What is Booster?
It's an external program running on your computer to remove some workload from your browser.
AFAIK it doesn't work on ChromeOS because of the restrictions Google has set.

Same! I'm on the latest version of Chrome on a Chromebook. Someone please help!
If you're using Microsoft Edge, turning on graphics acceleration fixed the problem for me. Plays smooth again after applying and restarting the browser.
