Hopefully things will be OK for Audiotool. Roland may be trying to stop hardware clones with the same look.

Are Audiotools audio engines in the clear?
I believe it's 'just' the presentation, not the sound itself.
Are replacement UIs being considered?
That's an option but before we change anything, we should have a talk with Roland.
If the elders agree, it sounds like a good idea.
Please see the third link @perrier provided for the reasoning of Roland - they basically want to prohibit abuse of their brand.
