I've only played around with making music a little bit, however, i really want to get into it. While watching a show today an idea came in my head for a song that i want to try and make. So my question is... How do you go about using some of a shows audio in a song or is that a no?

Yes and no. Is the show copyrighted? How long is the audio? Is it plagiarism? If it's, like an explosion fx and you want to record it, that's fine. If it's the whole song of the show, that's a BIG NO.
it would be part of song from the character, somewhat along the lines of the super sayin remixes.
