It says my sample is in an incorrect format... OK - it's not it's a wav and mp3 (tried both), but the main thing is that it says "make sure the file is 41.1kHz." Is my file using infrasonic frequencies, the frequencies given off my sperm whales, natural disasters, celestial activity, and nuclear explosions?

41.1 kHz is thesamplerate of your file, and it is the only supported samplerate for samples in AT. Look at your file properties, you should be able to find it's sample rate. If it isn't 41.1 kHz (or 41100 Hz) then you have to resample it. You can do that with Audacity, just Google it.
