We've Caught Another Impersonator
This isn't surprising, but it's serious.
He goes by the name of AAM-96. He is actively stealing tracks from all across audiotool's user base.
Generally, you may think stealing tracks like this is harmless, as it's probably some kid looking for attention on the internet, though this time, it's a bit worse; He used Horus Music Limited to trademark these tracks. He used Horus Music to illegally distribute his stolen music across Youtube, Soundcloud, Spotify, Apple music, Twitter, Facebook, and basically all other platforms you could think of. See here:

He has taken tracks from these users in particular and trademarked them. These are only the users I immediately recognized were stolen from. He has stolen from many more users then just these. I recognize he has a particular liking to the EDM on audiotool. So, if you're an EDM producer, then you should probably review the tracks because chances are, he has stolen from you also.
What Are We Going To Do About the Illegal Trademarking?
If you've taken a look at the playlists on his topic channel, then you've seen that he has 60+ stolen audiotool tracks auto-generated onto youtube, and is collecting ad revenue off of these stolen tracks. This only counts the sum of the stolen tracks auto-generated by youtube, so it's entirely possible he's stolen and trademarked over 100+ tracks.
Due to the trademark, he now owns these tracks in their entirety, though illegally.
Trademarks are difficult to get rid of, though it's not impossible. Ultimately, it's Horus Music we need to complain to in order to have the illegal distribution stopped. If we have enough complaints filed over the issue, then we may actually get Horus Music to review the matter.
How can I help?
Besides filing complaints, I personally like the idea of cyber raiding his personal Youtube channel for starters. We need more people in on this in order to identify every track he has stolen, so we're able to return ownership of the tracks to the original authors. He has four videos posted so far, so identifying those shouldn't be too hard.

I hate people...
loll
pretty sure I can talk this stealer into a zoom.
i find it both shitty and hilarious that AAM has the balls to not only reupload tracks as his own.
BUT to copyright it and possibly even profit from it lol.
He has banned me from his channel
Also im up to help raid AUDIO TOOL POWER BABY
i just realized that he has footage of him using audiotool to make a track.
@dj_scratchdisk do you know what account he has
Thank you for raiding his personal yt
All four of the videos on his channel have been taken down
i'm so confused what did he steal from me?!
and i better not get sued for some shix like this xD
(This shows my little knowledge on the difference between copyright and trademarks)
Those videos are actually stolen from @infyuthsion I believe
your welcome Im gonna go look at his other socials
and try to get them taken down
if you upload one of the tracks he trademarked that belongs to you, you'll be the one getting a copyright strike.
where is the video i got some things i could used to figure out who it is, idk how to explain though
@mauthiel
oh wow
lol
its a good thing i suck at making music anyways
wow that was quick
holy shit
youtbe has taken down His CHANNEL YAy
It was the yt algorythm that took it down, not a person. We just threw enough reports at it for it to be taken down automatically.
les go
The videos on his facebook
there is still a problem that he still owns the songs
They privated the songs, it wasn't taken down. Still a problem.
true... Is there anything we can do about "Horus music"?
Yea and he still has the rights to the song
Horus?
I saw that so I reported his channel for impersonation
"He used Horus Music Limited to trademark these tracks" its on the top on this page
ohh
this is really sad cause all of the people that got stolen from actually worked hard for those songs

Hello friends. I'm sorry for posting your music without permission. I am trying to remove what has posted. Most recently, my YouTube channel has removed the posted tracks. Please give me more time to remove the tracks
rather than just reporting the video, report the channel instead for impersonation
you find the report option in the "about" section of the channel
i cant sign in to youtube im on a school chromebook

I deadass can't tell if this is a joke or not.
I mean it's pretty convincing, he even types like he's finish. lol
Not a joke. I am trying to remove copyright from songs
he joined 4 months ago
I just wanted to have my own spotify channel to show off to my friends but I don't think it's that bad. I'm so sorry
you should really consider Peoples work over your popularity
i mean idc if you steal my stuff just don't copyright it thats the part that scares me
I so sorry. But there won't be any fame for me. I only have 15 of my friends to listen to the music I post.
nobody cares. you copyrighted the songs, do you think the problem will magically go away? you COPYRIGHTED THE SONGS. you cant magically uncopyright things.
What I don't get is since most tracks are creative commons, all someone has to really do is just credit the original author, original track, and indicate if any changes have been made. Under CC-By-SA it's perfectly within legal rights to put together an Audiotool mix or compilation ( without permission ) and monetize it. Yet these guys always just hoover up tracks off the platform, paint a bogus name over everything without any source reference, and register copyright.
fame doesnt matter, it's the fact that the people will probably never get their tracks back
if you actually felt bad, you'd delete the shit
I am contacting to remove all copyright warnings for songs. give me more time
yeah. you better
Me: Trying to calm the situation and not trying to make someone depressed
Kvm:
Found one on spotify
Called "Time to speak"
original track: https://www.audiotool.com/track/xr15hpei/
@tuananhlnc Whether you're actually sorry or not, it doesn't fix the possession issue with all of the tracks. Yes, we will report you to Horus Music, and the goal is for you to be banned from using that particular distro altogether, and for all of the stolen tracks to be returned to the original authors. I say this in all best respects.
lol doesnt matter. what if they cant remove it? 100s of songs would be lost to this dumb fuck
im just posting the ones i recognize lol
their prolly all stolen
I hope you can give me more time. I know it is a crime to upload these music without your consent. I am very sorry for that. Please give me time to correct this mistake.
i mean just hope that he can ig lol
I'm just trying not to make enemies, idgaf about making friends but i'd rather not have any enemies
I was banned from distributing 2 months ago. As you can see my youtube channel didn't upload any videos 2 months ago
yeah that's only youtube. what about all the other platforms? what're you gonna do about that?
I need more time to remove it from other platforms
i can imagine this whole community looking down on this lad xDD
It doesn't offend or bother me. Just look up the Creative Commons license. Tracks on this site are usually released under CC-BY-SA. You are allowed to use them in almost any way you want. However when songs are inaccurately credited and released through a distro, it puts copyright claims onto artist's Youtube channels when they want to post their own music. I've personally had this happen to me multiple times.
In the future just be clear about who the artist is, and link the original track. It isn't technically required, but also asking artists if it's okay to use their music is the polite thing to do. It's the equivalent of being a photographer and taking pictures of people without asking them. You are within your right to do it, but a lot of people are going to get upset and react negatively if you don't ask.
Yes, I am ashamed of this as well
Understand that I got a copyright strike because of your impersonation. This is more than just annoying.
Also, consider that you haven't only stolen our tracks, you've also screwed over Horus Music. They try to make their business accessible for middle to lower-class individuals to distribute and protect their music easily. In a couple of ways, you lied from Horus Music, and you also lied to your friends.
Yes. Up to now, I have also noticed the consequences of my actions. I want you to give me more time to settle this matter. I want not to affect Horus Music nor anyone personally. I will remove all the uploading space and copyright of the songs. Give me up to 2 weeks to process.

2...
w-we...
WEEKS!!!!!!
that's a bit much, dont you think?
i was expected 2 days
...
time to ask youtube to remove copyright and remove tracks from spotify and soudcloud
oh... well good luck... ig
@mauthiel Just dispute the claim and in the info link YT your track, and briefly explain the situation. It will remove the strike eventually. I've done this before a few times.
Yes . I think that was my biggest mistake.
Hey, if you're actually sorry, that's good.
Take this into consideration, if you plagiarize and admit to it, you still get a zero.
And no, we're not waiting two weeks.
Everything you do has consequences and drawbacks.
I tried that, but I never got a response from soundcloud. I'll try a couple more times though...
It will take some time. The last time I disputed it took several months for it to update.
Yes, I did. but you can see the analytics on spotify, soucloud, youtube it's almost zero. I received nothing but brag to my friends that I was on spotify
That's not exactly what I'm worried about.
This has always been a consistent problem for audiotool's user base, not to mention the copyright issue.
Another point is I happen to know you were trying to sell @nick123456 's music on amazon.
Gotcha. I guess I should get started then. lol
it's a music delivery service. I am trying to erase all of this. Please give me more time
Stop using your time arguing, and instead use it to get rid of this scam.
I did it myself when I received a comment from you. I am trying to solve the problem I caused. so sorry

@tuananhlnc Bro why are you stealing other people's tracks and copyrighting them as your own? Not to mention making revenue off the tracks that are not even yours. Not cool dude. People have spent hours, days, and weeks creating the tracks you've stolen. If you need help making a track JUST ASK DUDE and we will help you learn how to make one. Let this be a lesson to you not to steal other people's tracks because if you steal the wrong artist's tracks, especially if they are famous, they could potentially sue you and you will go to jail. Take this as a warning because im trying to help you bro. Have a blessed day
I'm sorry for doing this crazy act. I am trying to correct my problem by trying to remove the tracks
