Audiotool recently updated their manuals and have a host of tutorial vids up which should get you somewhat familiar with the studio. That link can be found here: (link is only visible to registered users)
I also suggest remixing a bunch of tracks to see how they were made. You don't have to publish them, just study the techniques and get a feel.
Make a lot of stuff. Make anything. Music production is almost entirely experience-based, the more you practice, the better you'll be. Once you get familiar with the studio, if you have an idea of what kind of music you want to make, you can use the techniques taught in the videos in AT. Just stick with it.
My advice would be to experiment. That's how I started to get the hang of it. The more you play around with stuff, the more mastery you gain with them. I, however, have only gotten good at making sound, I am still bad at sequencing sound with notes.
