I have been on this site for a year and a half already, but I don't feel like I've improved in music production at all. Any ideas?

that's a pretty vague question dude. first of all, as cool as it is, audiotool is super limited as far as daws go. if you wanna get better you might have to expand your horizons at some point and invest in a program that's more professionally oriented. second, how much research have you been doing on your own as far as learning about things like eq, compression, etc? a lot of these things can be hard to learn through just trial and error
All music is good it is what u make it
Open up tracks from other users that make quality tracks. U can learn allot by just looking how they create a sound, what they do as transitions etc...
I would suggest incorperating other DAW's (Digital Audio Workstation's) into your music. For example, two of the rather free programs that I use are AudioTool and AudioSauna (you didn't hear that!!). I mainly use AudioTool to piece together my sounds and other stuff with that, like the effects you can add, but I use about 6 other programs to actually create my sounds. I hardly show what i publish on AudioTool, I don't like the attention from here, there are too many, excuse my french, assholes on here. I only publish to download the song, after that, I hide it on my profile. I do, however, keep my remixes and poorly made songs (once built entirely out of AudioTool). If you need help with what program to use, read this: https://www.quora.com/I-am-starting-music-production-What-program-should-I-use-read-description
