I'm not sure if that's what you mean, but there used to be a function in Flash (a lock icon in the desktop tools) that would prevent changes to the arrangement. Cables and device positions would be unable to be changed. Unfortunately this function isn't available in Next, as far as I can tell.

i mean how do u prevent other users from saving a preset that you create on a synth or other device.

You can't do this on a device basis, but you can set the track itself to non-remixable if you wish to hide its device settings.
