Invest at least half your time spent on audiotool listening to other artists, especially ones you've used samples from, making sure to hit the "Favorite" icon if their art inspires you (also stop by their "Assets" tab; you'll often find a crap ton more awesome sounding art you'd probably enjoy using in your art in the future. Speaking of the future: if you're here to be 'liked' unless you showed up with a few or more irl friends with similar interests (the "you scratch my back & I'll scratch yours" mode) you might want to pull your focus back a bit and remember that the majority of really ass-kicking artists have invested a shyte load more time and energy into their art, having many times no correlation with being a member of this community, than you may have up to this point. I'm blown away that I've received more than one "like", let alone ONE "like" at all. I'm blown the f**k away that anyone chooses to follow me at all. That shyte's incredibly humbling, sincerely. And all I do is, imo, reward them with more scrap (compared to what my favorite artists put out). Most important to me, though: I LOVE the sounds I put out, even if borrowed from better artists! Which brings me to: give credit where credit's due (if you've borrowed from others who've put their art out for that). I've done a pretty terrible job of that and coupled with my community handle it probably cost me a few listens/likes. I'm still terrible at it (been searching for a tut on this subject within AT, but keep coming up empty) but I do my best to shout out the names of those who've indirectly helped me assault more than a few ear-holes. Sincere appreciation (not the 'scratching' type I talked about) given publicly for those who inspire you in turn inspires them (see, it's 'inspiring', not 'scratching' >_< ). Cheers!
Oh, and (duh) I should have mentioned the FAQ link at the top of the Feedback page ^^^^^^ up there, which embarrassingly, is the very damn tut I've been not finding....
