How Do I protect my Copyright for my tracks?

anonymous user · started 2018-08-29 18:04 · updated 2018-09-26 16:21

Multiple users of this website have been given an opportunity to remix my soundtracks. I have then come to realize that some of those users invited had not the intent of modifying my music but the intent to filch and pawn them off instead. I am now experiencing a sense of ambivalence towards which followers I should trust and which to cut all ties from. My petition is for a more fortified security of copyright restrictions.

There's multiple things you can already do yourself, to avoid the problem you describe.

  1. Don't invite people you do not trust, to your drafts.
  2. Just before you publish, disable the "make the track re-mixable" option.
  3. Give your track the appropriate license, which in this case would be something like "all rights reserved".
  4. If one of your tracks has been remixed and it is identical to the original, then a moderator can remove it, if you report the remixed track in question.
