Depends on what kind of fade. If you want a filter fade, use the curve or stompbox filter and remove the lowend (use lowpass) and change the frequency or wet/dry mix.
If you want a simple volume fade, automate the volume settings on the synth you are using, it is usually on the top right.
Usually the best practice is to automate the fader of the relevant channel strip in your main mixer. In this way, if you automate several faders, all the volume automations are in one device and easy to locate.
