i have to do a final for my production class but i need a bit more length on the sequencer, is there a way to extend the length?

Which sequencer? The answer is yes, up to 64 steps. The machiniste can do more, but you're better off using the note track for that.
The 303 can also take a note-in, so can be used with a note track to extend the sequence even further as well.

Within the 808, 909, and 303, you can increase the sequence length by click + or - next to the step length. To double or half the length you can use shift+click.

Right click machiniste.
Copy pattern to note track
Clear the pattern in the machiniste.
Open the note track (in the timeline)
You can lengthen this region way more efficiently, and still input notes in the same way.

If you want/have to do it inside the machiniste though:

Shift+click the + buttoned next to "length". Now the steps are doubled. Do this as required.
Next, flick between each 16 step loop by selecting which "range" you want to edit. (This is next to the length parameters).
