Is it me or does it seem like there is always an on going issue with this app?
I dont get why it doesnt just work all the time
Its frustrating and really kills the creativity on here
I dread using this app now because I dont know if it will work properly and I dont want to waste time making a song that might not publish or the app is down when i go to work on it again
I feel like making music is always on Audiotools terms (if the app is working today or not)
I feel like worrying about if the app will actually function properly seems to be my main focus now instead of just creating
Everything worked so simple an easy when you just opened the app when you could download it to your browser
Ever since its changed its never been the same again
Always an update or something is down or blah blah blah
its been over a year since the app changed and it seems like it never gets better
Why the constant updates?
Why cant we just keep the version that works?
Maybe we dont need to keep adding things constantly that may or may not function properly
just to "improve" the app when it clearly creates more problems then good

I think that there are a lot of server and bug issues because of the small dev team of audiotool. There are not that many people working on the app, and it's not like FL and Ableton where there are a lot more people working on the program.
Also, this might be the only DAW that allows you to make good songs for free. Like, cmon it's coming out of their wallets, the site is completely free to use, no advertisements or anything.
So cause its "free" we are supposed to just "deal" with it not working?
You think if they charged money for this it would work better?
I think they would have the same issues but also have all the paying customers complaining and demanding refunds
No, because it's free you should at least not complain because you're not losing anything and you didn't get ripped off.
Thats what you think?
Thats cool
So your basically just guessing at this point right?
These "server" issues have been around for months probably longer most likely
Seem like there getting worse and more frequent if thats what the problem is
If that is the problem then why not just get a different server?
I believe the issue is they need to be constantly updating and upgrading and changing this and that and it doesnt always work.
Been using Audiotool for over 5 years now only had problems this last year when they debuted "Next" now its a crapshoot if it will work properly cant think of too many apps that have this much down time this frequently makes me feel like things arent "all good" over there
They need to just use or build a stable version and just stick with it and leave it alone
Like seriously did we really need multi-color wires?
I mean the black ones worked fine for me but now I can have hot pink wires so thats good I guess
nothing will ever be perfect but it was way better befeore "Next" and I love Audiotool
but its alot worse now and I hate saying it but someone had to
I really hope the "server" issues gets fixed anyhow
So just leave.
Instead of complaining constantly, just leave.
Not complaining but.....Someone had to say something
I guess im a dick huh?
You can hate now lol
I think ill stay tho thanks for the offer haha
Server issues appear and get fixed within a day, damn what's wrong with that? Just upload tomorrow.
Every online platform has server issues like audiotool. Discord, Steam, Netflix, you name it.
I have no clue how they appear, but the server stops responding to commands and it has to be restarted or fixed in some other way, I'm not in charge of that.
If you have so many issues, then please report issues on the https://www.audiotool.com/board/bug_reports board. It helps you and everyone else
I reported the bug
(before I made this post actually)
Maybe you should get a job at Audiotool
Your very helpful lol
Yes, I noticed but it seems like you had other issues with the app.
I am an audiotool moderator, but I wouldn't say it's a job ;)
oh my bad I just thought you were a weirdo
Hey, fine by me. I’m just saying it’s easier to just leave than to sit around waiting for something to change. Also, no, nobody had to say anything, because pretty much everyone has said something about the problem at one point or another.
I've actually advocated in the past for a feature freeze, a slower update cycle closer to that of commercial apps and more focus on stability. But I wonder if that would really help in this case because AT is inherently an online app and this will not change. Therefore, server issues will occur from time to time. On top of that, AT has to run on top of a browser, and any time any of the browsers AT supports gets an update, it might mess up some aspect of the app that worked before (as far as I understand it, AT is at the cutting edge of what can be achieved in a browser). On top of that, as kurp said, it's a very small team with very little funding. If they charged for the app and had a serious income, you can be sure that they could expand the team to include more specialists in charge of different areas: design, programming, DSP implementation, server maintenance and administration, accounting, public relations, documentation and so on. But that's just not possible yet in the current circumstances. I hope that this gives you an idea of how fragile the AP actually is and how many complex aspects need to be in place for it to function properly.
Um, it says it cannot connect to the server now after an update launched a minute ago
wait i think this is the wrong thread
