copying and pasting notes on mac

this seems stupid but i honestly cant figure out how to copy and paste note patterns from the synths meaning I have to do them out again everytime, please help

For regions: Ctrl+drag to create a normal copy, Ctrl+Shift+drag to create a virtual copy (shared content).
