I created some patterns with the drum machiniste and clicked add pattern track but I cannot click on anything in the track to add patterns. It won't do anything. What am I doing wrong? I followed the tutorial and a few weeks ago it was fine but now I tried again and nothing is working.

double click the track's empty space to add a track, then you can right click the yellow box to change it's pattern
Make sure you select the Pointer (arrow) tool. It is next to the Pencil, Razor, and Hand tools. Only the Pointer will let you click on the track to add Pattern Regions to your track.
I double-click but nothing happens.
No yellow box appears.
FIX: I needed a mouse not a touchpad. Connected a USB Mouse and it works fine.
